Understanding SKUs & FNSKUs

What's an SKU?

SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is your internal product identifier. It's how you track inventory in your system. Example: SHIRT-BLU-MED-001

What's an FNSKU?

FNSKU (Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit) is Amazon's unique identifier for your product when using FBA. It starts with "X00" and must be labeled on every unit. Example: X001ABC2DEF

When is FNSKU Required?

  • All FBA inventory (unless manufacturer barcode eligible)
  • Products with multiple sellers on same listing
  • Items requiring expiration date tracking

Common Errors We Prevent:

  • • Missing or incorrect FNSKU labels
  • • Barcode placement outside Amazon's guidelines
  • • Wrong units per case in shipment plans
  • • Carton labels not matching contents
